Delhi Weather Update:- A period of severe heat is being seen across the country. From Delhi, UP, Bihar and Rajasthan to many parts of the country, people are in a terrible condition due to the scorching heat and intense sunlight. The maximum temperature in Bathinda, Punjab, was recorded at 47.6°C on Tuesday. Whereas, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 45 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Ganganagar, Rajasthan, was also recorded at 47.4 degrees Celsius. Given the scorching heat, people are avoiding going out of the house during the day.
Alert regarding heat in Delhi
The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Delhi on Wednesday. People have been asked to be cautious and protect themselves from the heat. The IMD stated that the day temperature on Wednesday is expected to be around 45 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature is forecasted to be around 29 degrees.
Due to the heat wave in Lodhi Road, Ridge, and Ayanagar in Delhi on Tuesday, it has become even more difficult for people to leave their homes. A severe heatwave continues in Noida, adjacent to the Delhi-NCR region. The scorching sun is making people sweat since morning.
Ridge – 45 degrees Celsius
Ayanagar – 45.5 degrees Celsius
Palam – 44.6 degrees Celsius
Lodhi Road – 43.6 degrees Celsius
Orange alert in Punjab
In Punjab, Ludhiana recorded a maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. According to the Meteorological Department, a heat wave is expected in the state till June 13. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert. The temperature in Bathinda has reached 47 degrees.
Scorching heat alert in Jammu and Kashmir
Scorching heat is also being experienced in Jammu and Kashmir. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature of Jammu was recorded at 44.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Srinagar was also 33.5 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of relief from the heat till Friday. It will be cloudy on 13-14 Jun,e and there is a possibility of light rain.
