Monsoon Forecast – The cold weather has broken records these days. A cold wave has brought life to a standstill from the plains to the mountains. Continuous snowfall has covered the hills in a white blanket. The situation is continuously worsening. With the arrival of a Western Disturbance, several states are now facing the threat of rain and cloudy weather.
Snowfall and rain are expected in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh. A cold wave is expected in the plains states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. The sun has not been visible in many parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh for the past two days. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), rain is expected in several states of the country, while a cold wave is likely in many areas.

Weather in Delhi
Dense fog is expected in the national capital, Delhi, i and the NCR region. According to the IMD, the minimum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 9 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature around 24 degrees Celsius for the next two days. The cold weather will persist throughout the day, and fog may also set in by evening.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has reported that the maximum AQI in Delhi remains around 400, indicating a very poor air quality situation. There is no immediate relief from pollution expected in the capital. This may also affect cities in the Delhi-NCR region.
Weather in Uttar Pradesh
The weather in Uttar Pradesh is also disrupting normal life. People in cities and villages are facing difficulties due to the fog. Reduced visibility has increased the risk of accidents on highways and smaller roads. Buses, trains, and flights are also running late. Due to the cold wave, a further drop in temperature levels is expected.

A warning of heavy rain with thunder and lightning has been issued for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Cloudy skies and light to moderate rain are expected in Chennai. Besides these areas, heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Alandur, the airport zone, Meenambakkam, and Perambalur.
Light to moderate rainfall is likely in Perambalur, Perali, Sidheli, Chengam, Siruvachur, Ariyalur, Kumumur, Sivaganga, Thoothukudi, Tiruchendur, Alanthalai, and Kallamozhi. A heavy rainfall alert has been issued for Puducherry. Rainfall is also expected in scattered areas of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Kerala is also likely to experience inclement weather and rain.
