Monsoon Alert – A cold wave has brought a halt to the hustle and bustle of life in Central and North India. Fog, snowfall, and cold winds have brought a chill to life. The fog is now affecting everyday life, causing distress to everyone. Meanwhile, five states are still experiencing intermittent rain.
There’s no sign of any respite from the rains here. The next 48 hours are going to be challenging. Fishermen have been urged to stay away from areas prone to rain and thunderstorms. Heavy Rain with Thunderstorms
The IMD predicts that dark clouds are expected to engulf West Bengal and Odisha on December 9th. An alert for heavy rain has been issued for the next 24 hours. In addition, heavy rains are expected in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry until December 11th.
Fishermen have also been advised to be cautious during this period. The IMD has also predicted light to moderate fog in the districts of North Bengal. Rainfall is expected in many places in Kerala. Heavy rain is possible in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh.

Cold wave wreaks havoc in these cities.
According to the Meteorological Department, a cold wave is expected in Patna, Purnia, and Kishanganj, the capital of Bihar. Severe cold waves are expected in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, as well as Kanpur, Agra, and Prayagraj in Jharkhand. People walking here in the morning have been urged to exercise caution.
