Rain alert with thunder in these districts

IMD has issued a heavy rain warning in Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli and Varanasi of UP. There is also a possibility of wind blowing at 40 to 50 kilometres per hour here. Along with this, there may be heavy rain in Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau and Ballia.

There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Deoria and Gorakhpur. There is also a possibility of wind blowing at a speed of 50 to 55 kilometres per hour. Rain is also expected in Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda and Balrampur.

Apart from these, rain may be in Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi and Lucknow. There may be rain with thunder in Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya and Ambedkar Nagar. There is a possibility of gusty winds.

Heat wave will wreak havoc in these districts.

There is a possibility of a heat wave and severe heat in some districts of UP. A heat wave in the areas adjoining Banda, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Jhansi, and Lalitpur is possible. The temperature here can rise considerably. Rain with thunder is possible in Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Aligarh and Mathura. There may also be rain with gusty winds in Agra, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, and Shahjahanpur.
