UP Monsoon Alert: Monsoon rains have created havoc in most areas of Uttar Pradesh, where the situation is becoming increasingly critical. Due to continuous rains, the water level of the rivers is rising, and the danger of floods is looming. Traffic is also being disrupted due to waterlogging at many places. As a precaution, the state government has instructed the administration to keep an eye on it.

It has been raining at many places since morning in many districts, including Moradabad, Ghaziabad and Muzaffarnagar. There is no hope of relief from rain on Monday as well. Rain will become a disaster in these districts.

If the Meteorological Department is to be believed, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitapur on Monday. Apart from these, heavy rains may continue in Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Bareilly, Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur.

Heavy rains may also be seen in Sambhal, Badaun, Sant Kabir Nagar and Basti. Along with this, a heavy rain warning has been issued in Maharajganj, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat and Kanpur Nagar. IMD has predicted rain in Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Ayodhya and Saharanpur. Heavy rain may also occur in Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr and Aligarh.

Heavy rain alert here, too

According to IMD, heavy rain may occur in Kasganj, Etah, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya and Bijnor. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, and  Jalaun. The weather department has predicted heavy rains in Banda, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Azamgarh, Mau, Deoria, Gorakhpur and Basti.

Heavy rains may continue in Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda and Balrampur. Rains are also expected in Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi and Farrukhabad. Heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected in Kannauj, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi and Sultanpur.
