The rivers are in spate.
This time, the monsoon has shown its effect in Uttar Pradesh. A week ago, due to heavy rains in UP and Uttarakhand, the water level of the rivers increased considerably. The Ramganga, Yamuna, and Ganga rivers had reached above the danger mark.
Hundreds of villages were hit by floods due to excess water. Water entered the houses as well, which were evacuated by the administration and taken to safer places. Not only this, but houses and shops have collapsed. Farmers’ crops were ruined due to waterlogging.
