ICICI Bank Update: If you are an ICICI Bank customer, here is some important news for you. The services will now be available at the website `icici.bank.in` and the net banking portal `retailnetbanking.icici.bank.in`. ICICI Bank has changed the addresses for its website and internet banking services. In compliance with RBI regulations, the bank has migrated from its old domain to the new “domain.

This change may affect customers who have bookmarked the bank’s old website or net banking addresses in their browsers; such customers may need to update their saved links. If you are an ICICI Bank customer who uses net banking, you should be aware of all the details regarding this change.

What is the net banking address?
According to official information released by the bank and emails sent to customers, the address for ICICI Bank’s main website has changed from `http://www.icicibank.com` to `http://www.icici.bank.in`. The new link for internet banking is `retailnetbanking.icici.bank.in` (replacing the old address: `retailnetbanking.icicibank.com`).

The bank has shared another important piece of information: services for the iMobile app will be suspended for a few hours on September 19, 2026. According to the bank, this is due to scheduled maintenance. As per the email sent to customers today, the net banking address has shifted from `retailnetbanking.icicibank.com` to `retailnetbanking.icici.bank.in`.

Why did the RBI mandate the domain change?
Last year, the RBI directed banks to migrate their net banking websites to the specialised “domain. In a circular issued on April 22, 2025, the RBI stipulated that banks must move their net banking websites to this domain by October 31, 2025.

Will the customers’ customer ID and password change?

The change in the website and net banking URLs will not affect customers’ existing customer IDs, passwords, or bank account details. ICICI Bank customers will be able to log in to internet banking using their existing customer IDs and passwords; there is no need to re-register or create new login credentials to access the new domain.

A new feature has been added to net banking.

ICICI Bank has also introduced a CAPTCHA feature to its net banking login process. CAPTCHA helps ensure that the person logging in is a genuine user rather than an automated system.
