IBPS Clerk Notification 2026: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released a short notification for the recruitment of Clerks (Customer Service Associates/XVI). This recruitment drive aims to appoint candidates to the post of Service Associate (Clerk) in public sector banks. The online application process will commence on August 1, 2026, and candidates will be able to apply until August 21, 2026. Candidates preparing for this recruitment can submit their applications online starting August 1.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Clerk post, candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognised institution in India. Candidates must also meet other prescribed eligibility criteria. The age limit for applicants is set between 20 and 28 years. Additionally, age relaxation will be provided to candidates belonging to specific categories: a 5-year relaxation for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, and a 3-year relaxation for OBC candidates.
Selection Process
Preliminary Examination: An online examination of a qualifying nature.
Main Examination: The final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Main examination. There is no interview for the Clerk post.
IBPS Clerk Salary Structure
Initial Basic Pay: ₹24,050 per month. Annual Increments:
Increment of ₹1,340 per year for the first 3 years (Basic pay up to ₹28,070)
Increment of ₹1,650 per year for the next 3 years (Basic pay up to ₹33,020)
Increment of ₹2,000 per year for the next 4 years (Basic pay up to ₹41,020)
Increment of ₹2,340 per year for the next 7 years (Basic pay up to ₹57,400)
Over a 20-year service period, the maximum basic pay will reach ₹64,480.
