Hyundai Bayon India Launch – Dual 12.3-Inch Screens, AI Assistant, Price Reveal

Hyundai Bayon SUV India Launch: Hyundai is preparing to introduce a new vehicle to the Indian market—the Hyundai Bayon SUV. Positioned between the Venue and the Creta, it offers a larger alternative to a standard compact SUV, packed with an array of impressive features. The company is set to announce its pricing on October 26, 2026. Bookings are now open for a token amount of ₹11,000. Key features include a 1.5-liter petrol engine, dual 12.3-inch displays, and an AI voice assistant. Let’s take a closer look at the details.

Design of the Hyundai Bayon

The Hyundai Bayon features a distinct and modern design. Measuring approximately 4.2 metres in length, it offers seating for five passengers. The exterior incorporates Hyundai’s “Art of Steel” design theme, giving the SUV a robust and attractive appearance.

The front end showcases slim, H-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs), with the headlights positioned separately. Additionally, the SUV includes wide wheel arches, lower-body cladding, and bridge-style roof rails. At the rear, it sports sleek taillights, a roof spoiler, and a uniquely styled bumper.

1.5-Litre Petrol Engine

Under the hood, the Hyundai Bayon is expected to launch with a 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated, four-cylinder petrol engine. This engine produces 113.4 hp of power and 144 Nm of torque—the same unit currently used in the Hyundai Venue and Creta.

Customers will have the choice of a six-speed manual gearbox or an IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission) automatic, allowing them to select the transmission that best suits their driving needs. 12.3-inch Screens

The cabin of the Hyundai Bayon will feature two large, interconnected 12.3-inch screens. One will serve as a digital instrument cluster for the driver, while the other will function as the infotainment system.

Instead of relying solely on the touchscreen, the company has included physical climate control buttons on the dashboard. The steering wheel also houses essential controls, allowing for easy operation while driving. Additionally, a dedicated section on the steering wheel is provided for the drive mode selector.

AI Voice Assistant

A major feature of the Hyundai Bayon is its generative AI voice assistant. It will be the first car from Hyundai India to integrate AI features from Perplexity and voice technology from SoundHound.

The SUV will also support over 500 commands that can be executed without an internet connection. The system will support English, Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, Bengali, and Telugu.

BlueLink Features

The Hyundai Bayon will come equipped with the company’s BlueLink connected car system, which includes features such as remote control of vehicle functions, navigation, and safety-related tools.

Another notable feature is support for remote software updates. According to the company, the SUV’s electronic system will allow for remote updates across up to 19 control units.

Hyundai Bayon: Pricing and Deliveries

The expected ex-showroom price for the Hyundai Bayon ranges from ₹9.6 lakh to ₹14.5 lakh. However, the exact pricing will only be revealed after October 26, 2026. Bookings for the SUV can be made at Hyundai dealerships or online for a token amount of ₹11,000.
