Kawasaki Z300: Kawasaki has introduced a new motorcycle for enthusiasts of twin-cylinder bikes in India. The company showcased its new ‘streetfighter’ motorcycle, the Kawasaki Z300, in Bengaluru. While it shares its platform with the Ninja 300, its design and riding position give it a distinct identity. The Kawasaki Z300 is a new naked streetfighter that will use the same 296cc twin-cylinder engine as the Ninja 300. Bookings will open on October 19, while pricing and full specifications will be revealed on October 20, 2026.
Design of the Kawasaki Z300
The design of the Kawasaki Z300 draws inspiration from the company’s larger Z-series motorcycles. It features sharp bodywork, an angular headlamp, and a muscular fuel tank, giving it an aggressive streetfighter aesthetic.
Unlike the Ninja 300, the Z300 lacks a full fairing; instead, it sports a ‘naked’ design that leaves the engine and other mechanical components clearly visible.
296cc Twin-Cylinder Engine
The standout feature of the Kawasaki Z300 is its engine. It is expected to house the same 296 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine as the Ninja 300—an engine that produces 39 hp of power and 26.1 Nm of torque in the Ninja 300. It will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. However, Kawasaki has yet to confirm whether the Z300’s engine will be identical to the Ninja 300’s or if it will be modified.
TFT Display and New Features
The inclusion of a TFT instrument console is one of the most significant upgrades for the Kawasaki Z300—a modern departure from the older semi-digital display found on the Ninja 300. Full details regarding this upgrade will be revealed at the time of the launch. Suspension, Brakes, and Hardware
The chassis and suspension setup of the Kawasaki Z300 are expected to be quite similar to those of the Ninja 300. It may feature telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock suspension. Additionally, it is expected to come with 17-inch alloy wheels and disc brakes on both wheels.
For safety, a dual-channel ABS system might also be included; however, these specifications have not yet been confirmed. The bike features a wide, single-piece handlebar, which results in a more upright riding position compared to the Ninja 300.
Kawasaki Z300 Bookings and Launch Date
Bookings for the Kawasaki Z300 will open on October 19, 2026. The company will announce its price and full specifications on October 20. In this segment, the Z300 is expected to compete with motorcycles such as the KTM 390 Duke and the TVS Apache RTR 310.
