Hyundai Bayon Launch on October 26 – Check Key Features, Engine Specs

Hyundai Bayon 2026: Hyundai has always maintained a strong presence in India, and to sustain this dominance, the company is set to launch another new vehicle—the Hyundai Bayon SUV. Scheduled for launch on October 26, 2026, this new SUV will feature dual 12.3-inch screens, a generative AI voice assistant, and Level 2 Pro ADAS. Let’s take a closer look at the details.

Design

The new Hyundai Bayon features a sculpted bonnet, split headlamps, and slim LED daytime running lights (DRLs) at the front. The front-end design incorporates an H-shaped lighting signature, giving the SUV a striking appearance. The side profile features thick body cladding, pronounced wheel arches, and stylish alloy wheels. At the rear, it features slim taillamps, a roof spoiler, and ‘Bayon’ badging on the tailgate.

1.5-Litre Petrol Engine

Under the hood, the Hyundai Bayon will be powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox and an IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission) automatic. As of now, the company has not confirmed the availability of diesel or turbo-petrol engine variants for the Bayon.

Dual 12.3-Inch Screens

The cabin of the new Hyundai Bayon will feature two 12.3-inch displays: one serving as a digital instrument cluster and the other as an infotainment system. This setup lends a modern aesthetic to the dashboard. Additionally, the company has included physical buttons for essential functions. Generative AI Voice Assistant

The most notable feature of the Hyundai Bayon is its generative AI voice assistant. It will be the first Hyundai car in India to feature such an AI-powered voice assistant, using technology from Perplexity and SoundHound AI.

Bluelink Connected Features and OTA Updates

The new Bayon will come equipped with Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car technology, offering over 70 connected features. Additionally, the SUV will support over-the-air (OTA) software updates for up to 19 electronic control units. Its infotainment system will be based on Hyundai’s ‘Connected Car Navigation Cockpit’ technology and will be powered by NVIDIA hardware.

Level 2 Pro ADAS

Select variants of the Hyundai Bayon will feature Level 2 Pro ADAS, which includes 23 driver-assistance functions. This suite encompasses features such as Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist. Furthermore, it will include a Surround View Monitor and a Blind-Spot View Monitor.

Premium Cabin, Sunroof, and Colour Options

The Hyundai Bayon is expected to offer features such as ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, wireless phone charging, and a premium Bose audio system. Regarding colour options, the company has revealed 10 exterior shades, including Titanium Black, Classy Blue, Atlas White, Fiery Red, Golden Bronze, and Ecotronic Grey.
