Huawei Pura X View: Smartphone manufacturer Huawei has launched a new phone for its customers—the Huawei Pura X View. Billed as the world’s first wide-screen candybar smartphone, it is marketed as being “made for content.” Key features of the Pura X View include a 6.39-inch OLED display with a 16:9.5 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2232 × 1320. The phone houses a 7,000 mAh battery and weighs 201 grams. Let’s take a closer look at the details of the Huawei Pura X View.
Huawei Pura X View Features
It launches with HarmonyOS 7 and is designed for “wide-screen” usage scenarios such as enhanced video viewing, reading, gaming, and productivity. The Huawei Pura X View is available in four colour options: Leap Shadow Red, Linen Grey, Zero Degree White, and Phantom Night Black. Reservations open today, while in-store experiences and pre-sales begin on August 28.
Earlier leaks from tipster ‘Digital Chat Station’ had revealed that this Huawei device would feature a wide-screen design with an aspect ratio of approximately 16:10. It was expected to include a flagship-grade 9-series chip, a battery of around 7,000 mAh, and a 50 MP triple-camera setup (including a periscope telephoto lens).
The official announcement reveals its core design: the company has adapted the wide-screen concept—previously seen in the foldable Huawei Pura X (launched in 2025 with a 6.3-inch 16:10 panel)—and incorporated it into a standard, non-folding phone.
