Honda Elevate: New vs. Old – The Honda Elevate has received its first major mid-life update; with this facelift, the SUV has become more modern and feature-rich than before. While the changes may not seem drastic at first glance, a closer look reveals significant updates to the front design, lighting, and cabin. Most importantly, Honda has added features that were previously missing in the older model. Let’s examine both in detail to understand what has changed in the new Elevate.
Exterior Changes
The basic design of the new Elevate remains largely similar to the older model, retaining the SUV’s overall shape and proportions; however, the facelift aims to give the front a bolder look. The new Elevate carries over the L-shaped LED headlamp signature from the older model.
The facelift also significantly changes the grille. While the older Elevate offered two different grille designs, the facelift features a gloss-black honeycomb pattern grille. The basic design of the front bumper remains unchanged, but the area around the fog lamp housing now has a body-coloured finish. The Honda badge has also been moved from the grille to the bonnet.
Changes to the side profile are minimal. The 17-inch alloy wheels remain the same, but the lower side cladding now comes with a gloss-black finish instead of matte black. At the rear, the most notable visual change is the connected LED taillamp treatment.

Interior
Inside the cabin, the dashboard now features more leatherette padding, replacing the faux wood trim found in the older model. Factory-fitted ambient lighting has also been added, enhancing the cabin’s overall atmosphere.
There are slight modifications to the HVAC control housing as well. While the older model offered two dual-tone cabin themes—black-and-white and black-and-brown—the new model retains only the black-and-white theme. However, an all-black cabin theme is available with the black exterior versions. 360-Degree Camera and Ventilated Seats
In terms of features, the most significant addition to the new Honda Elevate is the 360-degree camera, which makes manoeuvring the SUV easier—especially when parking or navigating tight spaces. This feature was absent in the previous model.
Additionally, the front seats are now powered and ventilated. Honda has also introduced rear-seat ventilation, a distinct comfort feature in this segment. The new Elevate comes equipped with an air purifier, factory-fitted ambient lighting, front parking sensors, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold functionality.

Safety
Honda has also updated the safety equipment in the facelift. Additions to the new Elevate include rear disc brakes, an electronic parking brake, and front parking sensors. The Level 2 ADAS package from ‘Honda Sensing’ has also been retained.
This includes features such as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, collision mitigation braking, and lane-assist systems, offering the driver enhanced support during highway driving.
No Major Changes to the Engine
It is worth noting that Honda has not made any major changes to the engine. The new Elevate retains the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, delivering a maximum power of 121 hp and a peak torque of 145 Nm.
Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic. Honda has not introduced a hybrid engine option either; thus, the focus of this facelift is on enhancing design, comfort, technology, and safety rather than altering engine performance.
Price Difference
Regarding pricing, the most interesting aspect is that the price of the entry-level SV MT variant remains unchanged at ₹11.80 lakh. However, prices increase slightly as you move up to higher variants.
While the starting price of the facelift remains the same as the outgoing model, prices for comparable variants have risen by up to ₹53,000. Additionally, a new ZX+ variant has been added to the lineup. The maximum price of the old model was ₹16.36 lakh, whereas the price of the new model has reached ₹18.30 lakh.
