EICMA to be launched in 2024
In the image, you can see Hero's EICMA 2024 concept model. This was the same occasion when the company first showcased the adventure versions of its Xoom 125 and Xoom 160 scooters. The concept had a Dakar Rally theme, which made it even more special. Now the same concept is seen changing in the production model, which clearly shows the intention of the company
Front profile with 'beak'
The front profile of the scooter is clearly visible in this picture from the gallery. The biggest change is that the mudguard of the regular Xoom 125 has been removed and replaced with a 'beak' like the bike. This gives the bike an aggressive off-road look. A strong crash guard is also provided below it, which protects the front part.
Red Crash Guard
Pay attention to the side profile of the scooter in this photo. Here you can see a sturdy red colour crash guard, which protects the side body and apron area. In the concept model, this guard covered both the apron and the side body, while in the patent, it is just around the apron area. This guard gives the scooter a strong and rough-and-tough stance, which is not seen in regular scooters.
Knobby Tyres
The wide and strong tyres of the scooter are clearly visible in the photo. It features block-patterned knobby tyres that provide better grip on bad roads and dirt. These tyres give the scooter a feel of an off-road capability. The wheel size remains the same at 14-inches as the standard model.
Copy Guards
In this picture you can see the knuckle guards given near the handlebars. These knuckle guards are not found in regular scooters and are specially designed for adventure riding. They protect the hands from wind, dust and small bumps, which increases comfort in long rides.
Cornering fog lamp
The photo also shows two fog lamps near the front apron. These can be given Hero's special 'Cornering Fog Lamp' function, which gives extra visibility at turns in the dark of the night. This feature has also been given in Xoom 110 and now this adventure version can also be found.
Strong side profile
In the picture, the side profile of the scooter looks quite sturdy and heavy-duty. The layered body panels and the high tail section give it a sporty look. The floorboard is also wide and flat, providing a comfortable riding position. This design enhances the sporty look of the Xoom 125.
Digital Instrument Cluster
In this photo, you can see the fully digital instrument cluster of the Xoom 125 Adventure. It comes with features like Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call / SMS alerts. This cluster is very similar to the standard Xoom 125, but it feels even more premium in the Adventure version.
Engine and Performance
The Xoom 125 Adventure is powered by a 124cc air-cooled engine. The engine produces 10bhp of power and 10.4 Nm of torque. Mechanically, there are no major changes, but its rough-and-tough avatar makes it even more powerful. This engine with CVT gearbox will deliver great performance both in the city and off-road.
All-LED headlights
The image shows the scooter's all-LED headlight setup. It also features swipe-style LED indicators that give it a modern and premium look. The LED headlights provide better illumination at night and add to the sporty look of the scooter.
Expected to be launched during festive season
Although the company has not yet announced an official launch date, it is expected that this scooter can be launched in the upcoming festive season. It could be priced slightly higher than the current Xoom 125 (which is around Rs 86,900 to Rs 92,900 ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter will rival the likes of the TVS NTorq, Suzuki Avenis, and the Aprilia SR 125.
