Gold-Silver Rate Change: Gold and silver prices have surged again as the market opened on July 27. A significant rise has been observed in the prices of both metals. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of one kilogram of silver has increased by ₹2,050 to reach ₹2,24,771 today.

Additionally, the price of 24-carat gold has risen by ₹751, reaching ₹1.45 lakh. This renewed surge in prices follows a period where significant declines were observed. According to the IBJA, the price for 999-purity gold was ₹1,43,781 per 10 grams last week; by Monday, it had risen to ₹1,44,532.

Gold Becomes Costlier

On Monday, the first trading day of the week, gold prices increased on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) and, according to IBJA data. The price of silver rose by approximately ₹2,600 per kilogram. However, despite this rise, silver is still trading well below its all-time high—specifically, more than ₹1.95 lakh cheaper.

24-Carat Gold Rate

According to the IBJA, the price of 24-carat (999) gold has risen by ₹751 to reach ₹1,44,532 per 10 grams.

23-Carat Gold Rate

According to the IBJA, the price of 23-carat (995) gold has increased to reach ₹1,43,953 per 10 grams.

22-Carat Gold Rate

According to the IBJA, the price of 22-carat (916) gold has increased to reach ₹1,32,391 per 10 grams.

18-Carat Gold Rate

According to the IBJA, the price of 18-carat (750) gold has risen to ₹1,08,399 per 10 grams.

14-Carat Gold Rate

According to the IBJA, the price of 14-carat (585) gold has risen to ₹84,551 per 10 grams.

Silver Becomes Costlier

Silver futures on the MCX witnessed a sharp surge on Monday. At the close of trading last Friday, the price of 1 kg of silver (with a September 4 expiry) stood at ₹2,22,138; however, upon the market opening on Monday, the price jumped to ₹2,23,500. Silver prices rose by ₹2,611, reaching ₹2,24,749 per kilogram.
