Gold Price Weekly: Gold and silver prices surged this week, with both precious metals rising by over ₹8,000 per 10 grams and ₹12,000 per kilogram, respectively. Prices began to rise with the onset of the festive season. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold rose by ₹8,257 this week to reach ₹1,60,620 per 10 grams, up from the previous ₹1,52,363 per 10 grams. The price of 22-carat gold rose to ₹1,47,128 per 10 grams, up from ₹1,39,565 per 10 grams.

Silver Becomes Dearer by Over ₹12,000
Along with gold, silver prices also rose sharply. Silver prices rose by ₹12,788 to ₹2,46,630 per kilogram, up from ₹2,33,842 per kilogram. The highest price for silver this week was recorded at ₹2,46,630 per kilogram during the evening session on August 21, while the lowest price was ₹2,27,392 per kilogram during the morning session on August 19.

MCX Gold Rate
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the price of 24-carat gold rose to ₹1,62,440 per 10 grams by the close of the market. In the international market, gold stands at $4,661.60 per ounce. Meanwhile, according to GoodReturns, 24-carat gold is priced at ₹1,60,630 per 10 grams. So, let us find out the latest gold price in your city.
