Gold Price Today: Gold and silver prices fluctuate daily. With the onset of the festive season, prices for both metals have begun to rise. Gold and silver prices have seen significant volatility across both international and domestic commodity markets. On Wednesday, August 26, gold rates began to climb on the international COMEX commodity market. Prices also rose on the MCX after the market opened. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of 24-carat gold is priced at ₹1,61,431. However, gold rates have dropped sharply on the IBJA platform today.

According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 999-purity gold was recorded at ₹1,62,041 per 10 grams at the close of the market on August 25. However, gold prices dropped when the market opened at 12:00 PM on August 26. The price of 24-carat gold fell by ₹610 to reach ₹1,61,431 per tola.

Gold and Silver Prices on MCX
Today, gold on the MCX was recorded at ₹1,62,620 per 10 grams (as of 12:11 PM). Silver stood at ₹2,44,431 per kilogram. Gold rates on the MCX market have also declined today; however, gold remains quite expensive.
