WhatsApp’s new Writing Help Assistant is currently rolling out to limited users in the WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.25.23.7 update. This feature works on Meta’s special Private Processing system, so that your data remains completely safe and no one can read or store it.
How will it help you?
When you type a message on WhatsApp and write about 3–4 words, a pen icon appears in the chat box instead of the sticker button. On tapping this icon, the Writing Help Assistant becomes active and gives many suggestions to improve your typed sentence. You get these suggestions in different tones, so that you can choose according to your mood and need.
You will get five different tone options
In this AI Writing Help Assistant, you get five special tones:
Rephrase: Rewrites your sentence in a clear and better way.
Professional: Gives a formal and professional look to the message.
Funny: Adds a fun style to the chat.
Supportive: Makes the message emotional and supportive.
Proofread: Corrects the mistakes in your message.
At least three different suggestions are given for each tone, so that you have enough options. If you want, you can choose these suggestions or send your own message. The most important thing is that the other person will not even know that this message has been prepared with the help of AI.
Special focus on privacy
Meta has given first priority to the privacy of users with this feature. Private Processing technology means that the message is sent to AI only when you yourself ask for suggestions. This entire process is encrypted and anonymous. Neither WhatsApp nor Meta can see your message or AI suggestion. Apart from this, Meta is also running independent audit and Bug Bounty program for this technology, so that its security is fully ensured.
When will everyone get this feature?
At present, this feature is available only in WhatsApp Beta version and has been given to limited users only. It is expected that after testing it will be launched for everyone. If you want to use it now, then you have to install the Beta version of WhatsApp.
