OnePlus 11R vs Vivo Y78+ Processor

OnePlus 11R definitely wins when it comes to its 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. It gives more seamless and quicker performance, particularly if you happen to be a gamer or multitasker.

Vivo Y78+, on the other hand, uses a Snapdragon 695 processor with an octa-core chip at 2.2GHz. It is by no means slow, but it cannot hold a candle to the OnePlus 11R in terms of speed and efficiency. Both phones have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but neither phone has a memory card slot, so you are stuck with internal storage.

OnePlus 11R vs Vivo Y78+ Display and Battery

OnePlus 11R features a 6.74-inch curved AMOLED display with 1240 x 2772 pixels resolution. It is sharp, clean, and luxury-level with its 120Hz refresh rate, 1450-nit peak brightness level, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Vivo Y78+ also features an AMOLED display, but slightly larger at 6.78 inches with only 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. Both phones also support 120Hz refresh rates, but there is more clarity and screen settings on OnePlus in the form of eye protection mode and high-frequency PWM dimming. For battery life, both phones also support a 5000mAh cell. But OnePlus 11R supports lightning-fast 100W charging, whereas Vivo Y78+ has only 44W, which plays a significant role in real-life usage.

OnePlus 11R vs Vivo Y78+ Camera

OnePlus 11R offers greater flexibility with a triple rear configuration: 50MP main camera with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2MP macro lens. It also records 4K video and comes with a 16MP front camera. Vivo Y78+ offers a dual rear configuration: 50MP main and 2MP depth camera, and an 8MP front camera. Good enough for casual photography, not as solid or flexible an offering as OnePlus.

Price of OnePlus 11R and Vivo Y78+

OnePlus 11R is now priced at ₹28,999 in top stores but is out of stock for now. Vivo Y78+ last retailed at about ₹17,990 and is currently out of stock. The price difference is huge, but so is the spec difference.

Bank Offers

OnePlus 11R had some interesting Axis Bank offers ₹500 discount if spending was over ₹25,000, a ₹500 extra on ₹50,000, and a ₹1,000 discount if spending was more than ₹75,000. Offers by the bank could make the package much more attractive when in-store.

Conclusion

As both phones are currently out of stock, it’s worth waiting if you’re dead set on getting either. But in case priority is given to performance, OnePlus 11R is well worth the additional cost. Vivo Y78+ is cheaper but at a cost.
