The battle for smartphone battery supremacy has just sort of jumped into a new, unreal milestone. Vivo has officially stirred up the market by rolling out the Vivo Y600 Pro, and it’s carrying a specification that feels, like, almost unbelievable for a mainstream handset — a jaw dropping 10,200mAh battery.

What’s even more wild is that, even with a power pack power level usually reserved for big tablets or rugged power banks, Vivo somehow keeps the phone slim enough, practical enough for daily use without it feeling like a brick.

Now, to make sure you are not stuck circling a wall outlet all day, Vivo bundles this battery with 90W fast charging. In practice it can refill that large cell from 0 to 100% in under 80 minutes. There’s also reverse charging, so you can turn the phone into a portable power source and top up other gadgets when you need it.

Surprisingly Sleek Design and Display

You might think a 10k mAh battery phone would end up like a thick brick, but Vivo managed to pull off what feels like a real engineering miracle. The Vivo Y600 Pro comes in at about 8.2 mm thin and weighs a very normal 221 grams. Up front, the whole vibe is taken over by a lovely 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 4320Hz PWM dimming to help protect your eyes, and Diamond Shield Glass that’s meant to resist drops. Also it’s more tough than it sounds, because the device carries both IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance. The Vivo Y600 Pro is powered by the efficient MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chip made on a 4nm architecture. So the Vivo Y600 Pro has officially landed in China, in Bright Moon Black, Floating Gold, Star Violet and Vast Blue options.

Now, Vivo India hasn’t said the exact local launch date yet, but people are expecting it to arrive pretty soon, because India loves a big battery device, like seriously. For the India launch, it’s reasonable to expect a starting price sitting near ₹28,990 when it finally goes official.
