So listen, this new Vivo X Fold 5 is going to be the lightest big foldable phone in the market. Talking about its weight, it can be less than 209 grams. Now it is not easy to pack everything in such a light phone, but Vivo has done wonders.

This time this phone will come in three colors – Pine Green, White, and Titanium. The camera module is in a circular design with Zeiss branding, which gives it a very premium and professional look. In terms of design, it does not look very different from the previous version, but a new physical button that has come in place of the mute switch has caught everyone’s attention.

The screen inside the phone is about 8.03 inches and the screen outside is 6.53 inches. Both displays use LTPO 8T panels and also have high brightness PWM dimming, which will give comfort to the eyes and save battery. Also, this phone will be safe from water and dust to a great extent as it has got IPX9 and IPX5 ratings.

Performance and Battery

If you are a performance lover, then you will be happy to know that the Vivo X Fold 5 has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor – which is one of the most powerful chipsets today. And with this, the battery is also going to be tremendous – a big 6000mAh battery, which supports 90W wired and 30W wireless charging. That is, now foldable phones mean not only looks, but also top class in backup and performance.

Talking about the camera, there will be a triple camera setup at the back in which Sony’s 50MP IMX921 main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra wide camera and a 50MP IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom will be available. It is really a big deal to have such a camera setup in such a slim foldable phone.

And yes, its profile after folding is so thin that the thickness of one side becomes less than 5mm. This shows that Vivo has given a new level to foldable technology.

Good news for iPhone users too

Now one thing that is seen in very few Android phones – this new Vivo X Fold 5 is fully compatible with Apple’s ecosystem. Meaning you can login to iCloud in it, connect AirPods directly, and the health data of Apple Watch – can also be synced with the Vivo Health app. Meaning if you were an Apple user and want to shift to Android, then this phone can be a great gateway.
