Vivo X-Fold 5 will soon be revealed. A company executive has shared a new teaser of the impending foldable phone on Weibo, showing its design and some of its features, even though the phone’s official debut date is still unknown. It has been verified that the Vivo X-Fold 5’s inner and exterior displays feature LTPO 8T panels. The maximum brightness of the panels is reportedly 4,500 nits. Additionally, the foldable is said to be IP5X and IPX9+ resistant to water and dust intrusion.
Vivo’s Product Manager, Han Boxiao, shared a sneak peek at the Vivo X-Fold 5’s internal display on Weibo. Both the internal and external displays will make use of an 8T LTPO panel. The screens are said to have high pixel density, ultra-high resolution, and adaptive refresh rate. It has been verified that both panels provide high-frequency PWM dimming and local peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It is stated that the foldable’s screens are certified by Zeiss Master color and TÜV Rheinland global eye protection 3.0.
The CEO also verified to the Vivo X-Fold 5’s exceptional resistance to cold. Even after being stored at -20°C for an extended period of time, all of the phone’s features are reported to function perfectly.
According to their claims, the Vivo X-Fold 5 has an IPX9+ rating for water resistance and an IP5X rating for dust protection. As reported by Vivo, the foldable can survive 1,000 openings and closings, even when submerged one meter deep.
Last week, vivo launched the X Fold 5 teaser marketing in China. It is verified to have a slim and light design, making it far lighter than the Vivo X-Fold 3, which weighed 219g last year.
Features of the Vivo X-Fold 5 (Expected)
As per recent sources, the Vivo X-Fold 5 would weigh 209 grams. It is expected to have a 6.53-inch cover display and an 8.03-inch foldable inner display. As per reports, the phone would have three 50-megapixel cameras on the back.
It is expected that the Vivo X-Fold 5 will have a 6,000mAh battery and may be capable of 30W wireless and 90W cable charging. It is thought to come with 512GB of storage, 16GB of RAM, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
