Vivo Watch 5: Last Wednesday, the company unveiled the eSIM version of the Vivo Watch 5, which was first released in China in April along with the X Fold 5 foldable phone. In addition to sports tracking, the Watch 5 provides health data. It features a circular dial and a 1.43-inch curved AMOLED display. Its extended battery life is another benefit; according to Vivo, it can run for up to 22 days when using Bluetooth only, 14 days while using eSIM with two devices, and 7 days when using eSIM alone.

Vivo Watch 5 with Bluetooth prices 799 yuan, or around Rs 9,500. The eSIM variant, which costs 999 yuan (about Rs 12,000), was launched as well at the same time.

Features of the Vivo Watch 5

The Vivo Watch 5 has a 1.43-inch curved AMOLED screen with a circular dial. It supports up to 1500 nits of peak brightness and has a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Without the band, the watch now weighs only 32 grams. Vivo features 24-hour heart rate, blood oxygen, stress, sleep, blood pressure, and heart health research, among other health tracking features.

The strap can be either leather or silicone, according to the user’s desire. The watch features some new software tricks and runs on BlueOS 2.0. It features a brand-new AI sports coach that can monitor running form and efficiency and even provide fat-burning workouts based on users’ heartbeats in real time.

If third-party software functionality is limited, users will still have access to a complete app store. The watch has functions like notifications, audio control, and Bluetooth calling. GPS for tracking outdoors and NFC for payments are included. For water protection, it has a 5ATM rated design.

Also, it features a new AI Smart Window feature that uses usage patterns to prioritize the information you need most. Both iOS and Android devices can use the Watch 5. For users in China, the watch has direct WeChat support.

About battery backup, the Watch 5 states that it can operate in Bluetooth mode for up to 22 days. In addition, the company claims that it may last up to 7 days in eSIM standalone mode and 14 days on full charge when used in eSIM dual-device mode. The smartwatch takes roughly two hours to fully charge using a magnetic puck.
