Vivo V60: The new Vivo V60 phone is going to be released in India on August 12, says a new SmartPrix leak. Although Vivo has not issued any formal release date announcement, recent rumors suggest that this phone might be a rebranded version of the Vivo S30 launched in China in the early part of the year. The V60 is a full-featured player in the high-end mid-range category, offering something for those wanting high-end camera capabilities and fast performance.

Launch Schedule and Possible Sources

The August 12 launch puts the Vivo V60 in the spotlight for the latter half of 2025. Past leaks indicate that the phone is not exactly new but a redesigned version of the Vivo S30, which is already selling well in China. This strategy has worked for Vivo previously and serves to introduce tested devices into even bigger markets without catastrophic R&D setbacks.

Camera Setup: Photography Steps into the Spotlight

Vivo has had a reputation for focusing on camera technology, and the V60 appears to be continuing that tradition. The phone is going to ship with a 50MP selfie cam and video conferencing camera. In the rear, the phone will feature a triple-camera module: 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and 50MP periscope telephoto camera featuring 3x optical zoom. This configuration is going to give users flagship-quality photography in a mid-range smartphone.

Display and Performance Specifications

The Vivo V60, according to reports, will be blessed with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display having 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a maximum HBM brightness of 1300 nits. The phone will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processing, in addition to an expansive 6500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. The combination suggests high daily usage performance and excellent endurance.

Software and Other Features

It is reported to come preloaded with FunTouch OS 16, based on Android 16, and possibly include some of the visual and feature bits of China’s OriginOS. It will reportedly come with UFS 2.2 technology storage. Some of the features that have been discussed are an in-display fingerprint reader, dual speakers, and an IP68/69 rating for water and dust resistance, giving it a premium feel.

Expected Price and Colour Options

Priced between ₹37,000 to ₹40,000 in India, the Vivo V60 will be launched in three colours Mist Grey, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold to provide users with an option of appearance as well as performance.

Vivo’s Broader Launch Strategy

The Vivo V60 is not arriving single-handedly. The company also appears to be releasing the Vivo T4R and Vivo Y400 5G shortly in India. Such back-to-back launches indicate Vivo’s aggressive approach to take over different segments of the market in the second half of 2025.
