At just under Rs 13,000, the Vivo T4X 5G has powerful specs like a 120Hz display and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 CPU. Although the phone has a high battery life and UFS 3.1 storage, its software is bloated, and its camera performs mediocrely.

Vivo T4X 5G Review: How nice is a 5G smartphone that costs Rs 13,000? When I inserted my SIM card into the Vivo T4X a few weeks ago for evaluation, that was the question I had in mind. A Rs 13,000 5G phone sounds like a dream thanks to features like the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 CPU, a 120Hz refresh rate display, UFS 3.1 fast storage (which is not even found in many well-known smartphones under Rs 20,000), a 50-megapixel primary camera, and a huge 6500mAh battery. But one thing I have discovered in evaluating different gadgets is that there can be a major gap between the parameters listed on paper and the actual experience of using a device. I will thus tell you about my experience using this device today, which has good specs for its price range. Let us discover if the Vivo T4X 5G smartphone is the most exciting or the dullest device in its price range!

Vivo T4X 5G’s unboxing and tactile experience

The Vivo T4X 5G will allow you to fully unbox your phone, even though a lot of smartphones these days only come with the phone and charging wire. A charger, charging cord, and a clear phone cover are included in the phone’s box. In spite of this, the phone has a screen protector. This implies that the consumer will not have to pay for each of these items separately. The fact that a customer purchasing a low-cost smartphone does not have to pay extra for required extras like a case or charger is important. It would be beneficial if other companies could adopt this basic reasoning as well. At the same time, I enjoyed the Vivo T4X 5G’s in-hand experience. I enjoyed the phone’s look and color despite its plastic construction. It is hard to tell from the phone’s appearance that this is a smartphone that costs Rs 13000. About the phone’s bezel, there is a large chin, but given the device’s cost, this is not a major issue.

Design and Display of the Vivo T4X 5G

The Vivo T4X 5G’s design may appeal to people, despite the fact that design is a personal preference. In relation to the budget it comes with, it appears to be good. People who do not know how much it costs might just think of the Vivo T4X 5G as  a phone up to 20 thousand due to its looks. Talking about the display, the company has made some compromises here. The phone has a 6.72-inch IPS LCD panel. It supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and is visible even in sunlight with a brightness of 1050 nits.

Given that smartphones with OLED panels can be purchased for as little as 15,000, it appears that VIVO has opted for an IPS LCD panel in order to keep prices low. It does not, however, imply that the Vivo T4X 5G’s IPS LCD display is of low quality. It supports YouTube HDR material and is visible from all directions. In this case, the Vivo T4X 5G will not let you down if all that matters to you is a good display and you do not care if OLED is present or not.

Experience with the Vivo T4X chipset and software

The Vivo T4X 5G comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. This chipset, which is based on a 4-nanometer architecture, is good given the phone’s pricing. Let me inform you that the CMF Phone 1, priced at Rs 15,000, has the same processor, and the newly released CMF 2 Pro smartphone has a tweaked version of the same chipset. In other words, if firms can use this chipset in a smartphone that costs Rs 20,000, then it is also good for the Vivo T4X 5G, priced at Rs 13,000 in the same price range. However, the Vivo T4X 5G has UFS 3.1 fast storage, which is something that is not even found in smartphones that cost Rs 20,000. As a result, I never saw any issues like latency or hanging. while using the phone. There is no memory card slot in the phone, so think a little while choosing the storage. One good thing is that the base variant of the phone comes with a combination of 6GB + 128GB. In such a situation, if you want to buy only the base variant, then you will definitely get 128GB of storage. It has also been brought in 8GB+128GB and 8GB and 256GB variants.

Let us now discuss the matter of my grievance with VIVO. its experience with software. Android 15 runs FunTouch OS on the Vivo T4X 5G. FunTouch OS still requires a lot of work, although Vivo has made significant progress in this area. The phone has a lot of bloatware. I spent roughly thirty minutes clearing off all of the phone’s bloatware. I rarely use a few VIVO apps, yet they are unable to be deleted off the phone. To disable Hot Apps and Vivo Browser notifications, navigate to the settings.

In any other situation, the phone’s hardware and software will not annoy you if you can put up with all of these things as a user. You can play little games on this phone, but it is not meant for gamers. While playing PUBG, the phone gets a little heated, but that is about it. During regular use, I did not notice the phone getting hot. The two speakers on it are really loud. On the right side of the phone is a fingerprint scanner that reacts quickly.

Vivo T4X Camera Features

Before discussing the Vivo T4X 5G’s camera capabilities, let me point you that it has two cameras on the back. Its primary camera is a 50MP one with an f/1.8 aperture. The second camera has an f/2.4 aperture and is a 2MP depth camera. The camera does not have a broad angle lens. The 50MP main camera clicks good photos during the day. Although there is a lack of detail in the photos when zoomed, but based on the price, the photos clicked during the day can be called good.

But in low light or darkness, the phone’s camera performs poorly. The phone’s night shooting option did not seem useful to me. The picture is the same whether it was taken at night or not. In addition, the blur effect must be activated directly in the camera app’s portrait mode. Even in portrait mode, the Vivo T4X 5G does not take portrait pictures unless the blur effect is enabled. You can, however, modify the backdrop blur to your liking by using the blur mode.

The phone’s selfie camera is 8MP. It captures good selfies. This phone can record 1080p and 4K videos at 30 frames per second. The video output, in my opinion, was subpar. Also, you can see an LED ring on the phone’s camera module. It can use various colors to inform you of notifications.

Backup battery for the Vivo T4X

The Vivo T4X 5G has a large 6500mAh battery. The package includes a 44W charger. With moderate use, this phone may provide a backup of 1.5 to 2 days. The phone will readily provide a day’s backup, even if you use it for gaming. This phone’s charger takes forty minutes to charge it from zero to fifty percent. A full charge takes one and a half hours. It appears to be okay given the large battery and long backup.

Our conclusion

I can suggest raising your spending a bit and purchasing the Vivo T4X 5G base model if you are searching for an excellent phone that fits within your budget of up to $10,000. You can choose this phone if you do not have any issues with Vivo’s FunTouch OS and you do not have high standards for the camera (which is also acceptable in terms of price). You can get the Vivo T4X 5G if battery backup is your top priority and you do not want to infer the phone’s price just by looking at it. In my view, this phone is the finest in the majority of situations for a 13,000 budget, and it is passable in others. I will rate the Vivo T4X 5G three stars out of five.
