Vivo T4R, iQOO Z10R, Moto G86 Power and Moto G96: If you are looking for a new 5G mid-range smartphone, then these 4 phones from Vivo, iQOO and Motorola can confuse you. All the phones are making a splash in their price brackets, but all have their own specialty. Let’s take a look one by one to see what is in which phone and which phone will be best for which type of user.
Design & Style
When you hold the phone in your hand, the first impression is of its design. Both Vivo T4R and iQOO Z10R look like mirror images, as iQOO is a sub-brand of Vivo. In both, you get premium glass-finish design and curved edges which make them classy.
The design of Moto G86 Power and Moto G96 gives a slightly rugged feel. Their look is a bit subtle but is quite good in terms of hand grip and usability. Motorola phones come with IP68/IP69 rating, which protects them from water and dust – especially if you do a lot of outdoor usage, then this is a big thing.
Display & Visuals
In terms of display quality, all the phones come with AMOLED or pOLED screen, which gives vibrant colors and deep contrast. Moto G86 Power has changed the game here with 4500 nits brightness – such a bright display is rarely seen in any phone. The screen is clearly visible even in direct sunlight.
While Moto G96 has a 144Hz refresh rate, which gives you a buttery smooth experience in scrolling, UI transitions and gaming. Vivo T4R and iQOO Z10R also have a refresh rate of 120Hz which is quite impressive for daily use, along with 1800 nits brightness also gives decent outdoor visibility.
Performance & Processor
Here Vivo T4R, iQOO Z10R and Moto G86 Power teens share the same platform – MediaTek Dimensity 7400. This processor is fast, power-efficient and multitasking friendly. From gaming to heavy apps, these phones work smoothly.
The Moto G96 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. This is also a capable processor, but lags slightly behind in GPU intensive tasks like high-end gaming. So if you play PUBG, BGMI or Genshin Impact, Dimensity 7400 phones will be better.
Camera Setup
This section is the most interesting for photography enthusiasts. The Vivo T4R and iQOO Z10R come with a 50MP main camera with OIS – which is great for giving sharp and steady shots. But the secondary camera is just a 2MP bokeh sensor, whose practical use is quite limited.
Motorola wins here. Both the G86 Power and G96 get an 8MP ultrawide lens which is very useful for group photos, architecture shots and landscapes. So if you want wide-angle shots along with the primary, then Motorola will be a better option.
Features & Tech
All the phones get 5G support, in-display fingerprint scanner and the latest version of Android OS. The UI experience is mostly clean, and Motorola phones feel like stock Android – which is bloatware-free and lightweight.
Vivo and iQOO phones come with Funtouch OS, which offers some customizations – but some people find it a bit cluttered. It depends on preference.
Battery & Charging
Moto G86 Power is unbeatable in terms of battery life. With a big 6720mAh battery, this phone can easily last up to 1.5 days even with heavy usage. The only downside is that the charging is only 33W, so it may take a little longer to fully charge.
Vivo T4R and iQOO Z10R get 5700mAh battery – there is also 44W fast charging along with decent capacity. Meaning these phones charge quickly and also give day-long backup.
Moto G96 has a 5500mAh battery and 33W charging – this is balance but the wow factor is missing.
