Sony BRAVIA 8 II OLED: Sony has launched the BRAVIA 8 II OLED TV series in India officially, after releasing its global version a few months ago. It comes with two variants, 55-inch and 65-inch models, both with a slender Slim One Slate form factor and smudge-proof flat back. Sony is targeting the premium home entertainment buyers once again with this launch.
Display and Visual Experience
The two TVs feature a 4K UHD OLED panel (3840×2160 pixels) and support a 120Hz refresh rate, which allows for smooth images. They are powered by the Sony XR Cognitive Processor, which intuitively detects the scene’s focus points to produce greater realism. Since each pixel is individually illuminated, the viewer gets deep blacks, improved highlights, and intense, natural colors.
Advanced Picture Technologies
Sony has incorporated HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, and IMAX Enhanced support for movie-like images. XR Triluminos Max and XR Contrast Booster 25 technologies boost brightness and contrast levels, and the wide-angle clarity ensures that the image quality is maintained even from sides.
Immersive Audio with Acoustic Surface Audio+
The TVs have Acoustic Surface Audio+ with two actuators and two subwoofers that will make the screen shake to create the sound directly from the screen. The onboard 50W aggregate audio system, in addition to Dolby Atmos, provides an immersive audio that makes the sound seem as if it’s arising from the actual on-screen position.
Gamers and PlayStation 5 Experts Know
Gaming will natively be 4K at 120fps, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Auto HDR Tone Mapping. These are designed to exist alongside the PS5. There is a special Game Menu where users can dynamically adjust settings like VRR and motion response.
Smart Features and Connectivity
Driven by Android TV OS with Google TV interface, the TVs have the support of Google Assistant along with an in-built microphone. They support Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, four HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, LAN, RF, and optical in. They also support screen readers, text magnification, color inversion, closed captions, and audio descriptions as some of their accessibility features.
Eco-Friendly and Bonus Content
Sony gives importance to sustainability through the recycling of SORPLAS material and an Eco Dashboard 2 for monitoring power usage. Customers are also given Sony Pictures Core with 10 downloadable 4K HDR films for free for 24 months.

The 55-inch variant (K-55XR80M2) is priced at ₹2,46,990, and the 65-inch variant (K-65XR80M2) is priced at ₹3,41,990. Both are available on offer right now at Sony Centers, ShopatSC.com, big retail stores, and online portals.
