Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Samsung will again shake up the foldable space with its Galaxy Z Fold 7. While the phone hasn’t been formally unveiled yet, rumors and initial specs disclose a cutting-edge design, top-of-the-line hardware, and enhanced software experience. With high-end specifications crammed inside a slim and stylish body, this foldable phone might be the next big deal for Android fans and multitasking super users.

Design and Build

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could have an ultra-thin profile of only 3.9mm when unfolded. Its construction is said to feature Gorilla Glass Victus Ceramic 2 protection on the front (when folded), glass back with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and aluminum frame. The phone also accommodates a stylus and has an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. Samsung’s signature Armor Aluminum frame provides further strength, making this foldable premium and tough.

Display

The primary screen is predicted to be an 8.2-inch Foldable Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X screen with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ compatibility. The body ratio may be up to 95.1%, providing a cinematic experience. It will also feature a 6.5-inch cover screen with 120Hz refresh rate, which is guarded by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic. Both screens guarantee rich visuals and smooth touch input.

Performance and Software

Powering the device can be the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset fabricated on a 3nm process. The CPU is likely to feature a distinct octa-core configuration with 4.32GHz and 3.53GHz cores for lightning-fast performance. It can launch with Android 16 and One UI 8, and users can get up to seven major Android updates. This is one of the most future-proof foldables so far, making the Z Fold 7.

Camera System

The triple rear camera configuration can feature a 200MP primary sensor with OIS, a 10MP telephoto lens providing 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. The device can record videos at up to 8K and has HDR10+ and slow-motion support of up to 960fps. Selfie requirements can be met by a 4MP under-display camera and a 10MP cover screen front sensor, which is convenient for all situations.

Battery and Charging

The device should be powered by a 4400mAh battery. Charging capabilities may involve 25W wired charging, which should charge 50% in 30 minutes, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. While capacity does not change, charging capabilities provide flexibility for everyday use.

Connectivity and Audio

The phone is said to have Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and complete GPS positioning with multi-band support. It also includes NFC, Ultra Wideband, and Samsung DeX support. There are stereo speakers with AKG tuning and high-res audio playback for sound, but no 3.5mm headphone jack.

Storage and Memory

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 could have three storage variants: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with 12GB of RAM for all of them. UFS 4.0 technology provides speedy data read/write performance, enhancing application launch times and multitasking capabilities. There is no card slot, so storage needs to be selected wisely.
