Samsung Galaxy Z Flip: Samsung’s new foldable phone, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, is now very close to launch. A glimpse of it was recently seen on the US certification site FCC, which makes it clear that Samsung is preparing to introduce this foldable globally.
Fan Edition i.e. “FE” models are part of Samsung’s series that try to offer premium features at slightly affordable prices. And now the company is bringing this same thinking to its foldable segment as well, where this phone named Z Flip 7 FE is going to fit in the budget of more people, but the design will remain the same flip which has remained a style statement till now.
FCC certification confirmed
Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has been listed on the FCC database with model numbers SM-F761U and SM-F761B. This means that this phone is all set to knock in the US markets as well. A few days ago, this phone also got BIS (Indian certification), which also confirmed its India launch.
This will be the first time Samsung is bringing a Fan Edition in its foldable series. That is, Samsung is now trying to provide an affordable option to those users who were not able to buy it due to the high price of the foldable phone till now.
Glimpse of connectivity and hardware
Some special connectivity features have also been confirmed by the FCC certification. The Z Flip 7 FE will have 5G and 4G LTE networks as well as essential modern features like Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC. Although no specific information has been given in the FCC database regarding the charging speed yet, it has definitely been confirmed that the phone will have features like wireless charging and wireless power sharing.
As far as the processor is concerned, in the listing seen on Geekbench a few days ago, this phone has been found being tested with the Exynos 2400 processor. This is Samsung’s latest and very powerful chipset, which will make its performance strong.
Hint of price and launch timeline
If reports are to be believed, the price of Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE can be around 1 million KRW in Korea, which is around 740 US dollars or ₹ 62,000–₹ 65,000. In India, this phone may be slightly less or more than this, but it is certain that it will be much cheaper than the current Z Flip series.
Samsung can launch the Z Flip 7 FE on the same stage with its two premium foldables — Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. That is, its global launch can be seen by July or August 2025.
