Redmi 15C: The Redmi 15C appears to be finally imminent, after a recent IMEI database listing. Now, a new leak has emerged that indicates the design, specifications, and even the European price of the phone. Xiaomi seems to be making the Redmi 15C physically larger than the last one, but with the same processor as the one used in the model last year.

Same Processor, But More Ambitious
According to a YTechb report, the Redmi 15C will be driven by the same MediaTek Helio G81 chipset as the last iteration. That suggests performance levels will remain more or less the same, something that could leave those hoping for a speed increase somewhat bereft. That said, there is every indication that Xiaomi has instead targeted design and battery life in this iteration, both of which have experienced significant improvements.
Big Screen and 120Hz Refresh Rate
The specs that were leaked also show that the Redmi 15C will feature a 6.9-inch IPS LCD, slightly larger than the 6.88-inch display on the previous phone. Better still is the addition of a 120Hz refresh rate, which should offer a smoother visual experience, especially when scrolling or gaming. The display will have a waterdrop-notch design with a 13MP selfie camera, and at the back will be a 50MP primary camera and a secondary one.
Color Options and Design Leaks
Render images of the Redmi 15C flaunting four color options Moonlight Blue, Black, Pink, and Green. The design language follows the traditional style of Redmi, with a rectangular-shaped camera module at the rear. The phone should have a relatively thin 8.2mm thickness and weigh approximately 205 grams, even with the massive battery.
Bigger Battery with Better Endurance
Battery life also makes a big jump in the Redmi 15C. It’s going to pack a massive 6000mAh battery, from the 5160mAh cell of the 14C. Fast charging support has also been bumped up to 33W. According to EPREL certification, Xiaomi indicates that this battery can last for as long as 77 hours on a single charge and still maintain 80% of its health even after 1,000 charging cycles, which is promising with high usage.
Storage, Pricing, and Conclusion
The phone will be paired with 4GB of RAM and two storage variants, 128GB and 256GB. The base model in the Eurozone will also be priced at €129, with the flagship variant carrying a price tag of €149. With these specifications, a large battery, and a high-refresh-rate screen, the Redmi 15C is a very compelling option in the budget sector. But its outdated processor is a showstopper for customers who value performance.
