Redmi 15: Redmi’s budget series is about to get a new bang – and that is Redmi 15. As leaks and renders are coming out, the wait has increased even more. This new phone is expected to get a better display, bigger battery and powerful chipset, and that too with a smart price. Xiaomi itself has given a teaser of a “power revolution” phone in India, which clearly indicates that Redmi 15 can come among us soon.

Anticipated Launch and Availability

So far Xiaomi has not made any official announcement for Redmi 15, but after getting several reports and hints in the Indian market, it is becoming stronger that the phone can be launched in India in early August. There may also be another variant called Redmi 15C, which targets a different space.

Design Renders and Colour Options

In the leaked render, the design of Redmi 15 looks similar to the Redmi Note 15 series. On the front, you will find slim bezels on three sides and a slightly wider chin at the bottom. There will be a small hole-punch camera cutout in the center above the screen. On the back panel, there will be a vertical camera setup in a rectangle island in the top-left, and the Redmi logo will be seen in the bottom-left.

In the color options, there is talk of three selected colors – classic black, vibrant purple and a sophisticated gold/silver-like sand‑wave texture variant.

Leaked Specifications: A Powerhouse on a Budget

The biggest feature of the Redmi 15 is its feature-packed specs setup. The display will be a 6.9‑inch FHD+ LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate – which will give a consistently smooth scrolling and gaming experience. The processor will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen3, which is based on 6nm manufacturing technology and gives a performance-upgrade to the budget segment.

In terms of RAM-storage settings, the phone will likely come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, while a smaller option can also be had in 6GB + 128GB. There will also be an option to expand the memory up to 1TB via microSD card.

Camera Configuration

The camera system of Redmi 15 also impresses. It is likely to have a 50MP main sensor (with f/1.8 aperture) and a 2MP depth sensor. Although some renders are showing three cameras, it is likely that they are dummies or information about the Pro model. For selfies, an 8MP camera will be placed in the punch-hole at the front.

Battery and Charging

The biggest thing about this phone is the 7,000mAh battery in it – which proves Xiaomi’s “power revolution” tagline true. This battery can give you power to last comfortably for two days. There will be a chance of 33W fast charging for charging, which may seem a bit slow with this battery but it will be enough in the budget segment.

Software and Other Features

The Redmi 15 will run on Android 15‑based HyperOS2.0, which is Xiaomi’s latest custom UI and has been designed keeping in mind optimization, connectivity and customization. The phone will have an IP64 rating which gives protection from dust and light splashes. There may be NFC support (may vary by region), and the fingerprint sensor can be side‑mounted.

Expected Price in India

According to leaks and features, the price of Redmi 15 can be around ₹ 14,300 to ₹ 17,500 in India. Getting specifications like 7,000mAh battery, 144Hz display, and Snapdragon 6s Gen3 processor in this range makes it a very attractive option in the budget smartphone market.
