Poco has launched two new affordable smartphones, the Poco M7 and Poco M7 Pro. Both are pretty impressive, but there are some key differences between them, especially in performance, camera, and charging speed. Which one is right for you? Let’s find out!
Poco M7 – A Solid Performer for Everyday Use
The Poco M7 is for those who want a solid phone without spending a whole lot. Its Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor is good for calling, chatting, browsing, and even some light gaming. The 6. 88-inch IPS LCD screen is big and smooth, thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate. It’s nice to look at whether you’re watching videos or scrolling through social media.
The camera is a 50MP main camera and an 8MP front camera that take good photos in good lighting. The battery is a 5, 160mAh battery that lasts a full day. Charging is 18W which isn’t the fastest but does the job. The software is Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS so it’s smooth.
Poco M7 Pro – More Power and a Better Camera
But if you want more and better, then you’ll need to pick up the Poco M7 Pro. It has the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor, so it’s faster and better for multitasking and gaming. The 6. 67-inch AMOLED screen is also a little smaller, but has better colors, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Always-On Display support. It also has an IP64 rating, so it’s more resistant to dust and water.
The biggest change though, is in the camera. The 50MP main camera has a wider f/1. 5 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), which means you’ll be able to take better photos in low light. The front camera is 20MP, so you’ll be able to take sharper selfies as well. The battery is slightly smaller at 5, 110mAh, but it supports 45W fast charging, so you’ll be able to charge it much quicker.
Which One Should You Choose?
If you’re looking for an affordable phone that performs everyday tasks admirably and lasts all day on a single charge, the Poco M7 fits the bill. But if you’re looking for even more performance, an even better camera, and faster charging, you’ll be better off with the Poco M7 Pro. Both phones are excellent, though, and it comes down to what matters most to you—affordability or extra features.
