Oppo Reno 14: Recently, Oppo had shared a teaser for its new Reno 14 Series in China. While Oppo has not officially announced any date till now, it’s an established fact that Reno 14 Series will finally come into this world on 15 May, thanks to Chinese tech bloggers sharing the media invites. The invite posted on Weibo confirmed that Oppo would be launching its two new smartphones – Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro – on 15 May. It is believed that the duo will face competition from the Vivo S30 and Honor 400 series, which are also expected to hit shelves in China later this month.
Reno 14 and 14 Pro will be the two major variants
There will be two models in the Reno 14 series – Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro. Both these phones will come in direct competition with Vivo S30 and Honor 400 series in the Chinese market, which is going to be launched this month. The Reno series has always been known for premium looks, great cameras and great performance, and this time too Oppo will do almost the same.
Powerful upgrades to the chipset and display
According to the leak, the Reno 14 Pro will have MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8450 chipset, which will be almost the same as the Dimensity 8400, but with some internal updates. The same processor is also likely to be found in the Reno 14 model. Talking about the display, the Reno 14 can have a 6.59-inch LTPS OLED display, while the Pro model can get a larger 6.83-inch panel. Both displays will support 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, which will give users a smooth and sharp visual experience.
Camera setup and battery
For selfie lovers, this time Oppo is bringing a 50-megapixel front camera, which will be the same in both phones. Apart from this, Reno 14 will have a periscope telephoto camera which will offer better zoom and clarity, leaving the telephoto camera.
There is a lot of emphasis on battery now. Somehow the Reno 14 series packs a battery of around 6,000mAh, which supports 80W fast charging. The user gets the best part of a day’s battery life and the opportunity to fully charge in just a few minutes – a necessity that has become for today’s users.

Along with this, Oppo will launch the Reno 14 series on May 15, along with the Enco Clip wireless earbuds and a new Oppo Pad SE tablet with Dimensity G100 chipset. Oppo is turning this into a multi-product launch, which clearly shows that the brand will be looking to further strengthen its range.
