OnePlus has revealed that China will soon see the availability of its Turbo 6 series. The OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V will be the two versions in the lineup. The China-based company has shown the designs of the two future phones, which have square-shaped cameras, ahead of the launch. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset is expected for the OnePlus Turbo 6, while a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC is expected for the OnePlus Turbo 6V.

The OnePlus Turbo 6 series will debut in China on January 8 at 7 PM local time (6:30 AM IST), according to a Weibo post. The company also unveiled the design and key features of the forthcoming OnePlus phones at a live event. Through a post published images and details are now available.
The designs of the two phones seem to be identical. A square-shaped camera panel with a dual camera system and an LED flash is located on the back of the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V. It is expected that the phones would have similar colored borders and a matte finish. The Turbo 6V will be offered in black and silver, whereas the OnePlus Turbo 6 is displayed in black, silver, and turquoise.

Features of the OnePlus Turbo 6 (as per to leaked teasers)
According to reports, the OnePlus Turbo 6 would have a 1.5K resolution display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz. It will come with a plastic frame and an IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings for water and dust safety. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, which includes UFS 4.1 internal storage and LPDDR5X RAM, has been verified to power the phone. Also, the company announced that it will run Android 16 and contain an Adreno 825 GPU.

The OnePlus Turbo 6 will have a dual back camera system with an 8-megapixel secondary lens and a 50-megapixel primary sensor. A 32-megapixel front camera for video calls and selfies will be included. OnePlus claims that the phone will feature an optical in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric security.

As per reports, the OnePlus Turbo 6 has a 9,000mAh battery that supports 27W reverse wired charging and 80W wired charging.

The company has also disclosed some important details about the OnePlus Turbo 6V in addition to the OnePlus Turbo 6. With a few exceptions, it should contain features that are comparable to those of the basic Turbo 6. As per rumors, this phone has a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
