OnePlus Pad Lite vs Oppo Pad SE: With the launch of the OnePlus Pad Lite, most users felt that it bears an uncanny resemblance to the Oppo Pad SE. Both tablets belong to the budget segment and even use almost the same hardware and construction. But are there any differences whatsoever between the two, or is this simply a rebranded version of another company? Let’s take a closer look.

Design and Display: Mirror Images

They look visually similar to one another, except for the logos. OnePlus Pad Lite and Oppo Pad SE both share the same double-tone rear finish and almost the same form factor design. They differ only in color. OnePlus is resolute in one Aero Blue color, whereas Oppo offers slightly more with Starlight Silver and Night Blue.

On the front, both tablets feature an 11-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of peak brightness. The 16:10 aspect ratio has not been changed as well. So, on the design and view front, these two tablets are twin brothers.

Performance and Features: Almost the Same Core

Under the hood, both tablets share the MediaTek Helio G100 processor that is primarily used in budget smartphones. There is a marginal difference in RAM and storage options, though. The OnePlus Pad Lite offers two options 6GB or 8GB of RAM, coupled with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Oppo Pad SE includes a third option in the shape of a 4GB + 128GB model.

Apart from the RAM variant, all else is equal. Both tablets share a 9,340mAh battery and have 33W fast charging. The camera configuration is equal as well a 5MP main camera and a 5MP front camera, adequate for routine shots and video calls.

Price and Value: Oppo Takes the Edge

That is where the actual differentiation lies in price. The OnePlus Pad Lite begins at ₹15,999 for the WiFi-only 6GB + 128GB model and ₹17,999 for the 8GB + 128GB LTE model. Oppo, on the contrary, begins with a lower price with its 4GB + 128GB WiFi model for ₹13,999. Its 6GB LTE variant also sits at the same ₹15,999 as OnePlus, but the 8GB LTE variant is ₹1,000 cheaper at ₹16,999.

While OnePlus has some launch offers and bank discounts as well, Oppo provides greater value, particularly for consumers who crave LTE support at the same or even cheaper price.

Verdict: Almost the Same, But Oppo is Less Expensive

When it comes to features and design, the OnePlus Pad Lite and Oppo Pad SE are nearly identical. The only minor difference lies in the RAM variants and pricing. Unless you’re attached to the OnePlus brand, the Oppo Pad SE is a more cost-effective choice with the same performance.
