Powerful New Intel Processor

At the core of the Legion Y7000 Core Edition is Intel’s Core i7-14650HX, a powerful 16-core, 24-thread processor designed to bring desktop-level performance in an ultrasmall package. With a turbo speed of up to 5.2GHz and 30MB of L3 cache, the CPU provides robust multitasking and gaming performance. It keeps its performance envelope at approximately 130W, making it suitable for heavy users like gamers and content creators.

RTX 5060 with DLSS 4 Support

For graphics, Lenovo has added the Nvidia RTX 5060 laptop GPU with Ada Lovelace architecture. The GPU provides 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM and is compatible with the latest DLSS 4 frame generation technology. Running at a maximum of 115W, the RTX 5060 brings staggering AI-driven performance with 572 TOPS, perfect for processing current games and creative software.

Upgradable RAM and Storage Options

The laptop comes equipped with 16GB DDR5 RAM at 5600MHz, in addition to a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD employing TLC NAND for improved read/write speeds. Future-proofing is also included by Lenovo in the form of two memory slots and two M.2 SSD bays to enable users to upgrade RAM and storage at will.

Advanced Thermal System for Improved Cooling

To manage heavy workloads for high performance, Lenovo employs a triple-fan cooling system in its Hurricane architecture. The system consists of four heat pipes, including a 10mm large main pipe, and a common copper base supporting both CPU and GPU. The design enhances the cooling surface area by 10% compared to its predecessor, providing optimal thermal efficiency.

High-Quality Display with 180Hz Refresh Rate

The Legion Y7000 is equipped with a 16-inch screen featuring a 2560×1600 resolution, 180Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits of brightness. It is HDR-enabled content, 100% of the sRGB color space covered, and features Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for enhanced game graphics.

Rich I/O and Battery Features

Connectivity features consist of a USB-C port that supports 10Gbps speed, DisplayPort out, and 100W Power Delivery. The other ports are four USB-A, HDMI 2.1 with GPU passthrough, Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a DC-IN power connector. The laptop is powered by an 80Wh battery and features fast 100W charging via USB-C.

Official Launch Confirmation Pending

Although the listing has been taken down, Lenovo’s premature unveiling of the Legion Y7000 2025 Core Edition suggests an eventual official announcement. In the meantime, the company has also ventured into additional segments with a new entry-level Mini PC and the Lenovo Watch Pro with its AMOLED screen and long battery life.
