New MagSafe Charger: What can be found special?

According to media reports, two new MagSafe chargers (model numbers A3502 and A3503) have been seen on the website of Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC). Both chargers look similar to the existing MagSafe charger. But the only difference between these two is the length of the cable. While the A3502 has a 1-meter braided cable. Whereas the A3503 has a 2-meter braided cable.

What is the Qi2.2 charging standard?

This new charger will support the Qi2.2 wireless charging standard. Which will soon be announced by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). According to Qi2.2, chargers will be able to give an output of up to 45W. At the same time, taking advantage of this charging standard in the iPhone 17 series, wireless charging up to 50W can be found.

Older iPhone users will also get support

However, the iPhone 17 series is going to get the most benefit. But your customers will also be able to use this charger with models from the iPhone 11 to the iPhone 16 series. That is, you old users will also be able to charge the phone to some extent by taking advantage of faster charging and better magnetic alignment. The existing Apple MagSafe chargers are able to charge only at the 15W Qi2 standard. The iPhone 16 series also supports 25W wireless charging, but that is limited to Qi2.1.
