iPhone 17 Pro-Pro Max: The iPhone 17 family is anticipated to be revealed by Apple around the second week of September. With its thin design, the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to take the place of the iPhone 16 Plus from last year, will likely change the lineup. Its design and specifications have already been made public via a number of leaks and rumors. As to a recent claim, the iPhone 17 Air will be the only new model with a titanium frame.
iPhone 17 Air’s frame will be made of titanium.
As to an investor letter by analyst Jeff Pu of stock research firm GF Securities, which MacRumors cited, the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to be launched as an update for the iPhone 16 Plus last year, will have a titanium frame. Aluminum frames are apparently planned for the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max versions.

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max versions had titanium frames. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus versions had an aluminum frame at the same time. As to the article, Apple uses titanium because of its exceptional durability, which can help preserve the structural integrity of the thin design of the iPhone 17 Air. But the research also pointed out that aluminum might have been a better option because it is lighter than titanium.
It is expected that every iPhone 17 model would have an original look. Between September 8 and September 12, the speculated Apple devices might be released. A recent leak claims that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air may feature 8GB of RAM with the normal A19 processor, while the iPhone 17 Pro variants may use Apple’s A19 Pro chip, which would have 12GB of RAM.
Also, it is reported that the iPhone 17 Pro and non-Pro variants would include a 6.3-inch screen. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to have a 6.9-inch screen, while the iPhone 17 Air may have a 6.5-inch screen.
