Honor Magic V5 Launch Schedule

As reported by a Chinese technology blog, the Honor Magic V5 is set to be released in China towards the end of June. Honor Watch 5 Ultra and Other Devices

Honor is not only set to launch the Magic V5 but also a series of new products. There’s the Honor Watch 5 Ultra that had already been launched internationally in March. That watch boasts a titanium build and ECG support. That will also be launched in China alongside this event. Tablets, earphones, and PCs are also set to be announced during this time.

Honor Magic V5 Design and Certification

The Magic V5 is rumored to introduce a slim and light form factor. Honor Mobile’s Product Manager Li Kun had previously teased that the device would be a design industry leader. The smartphone is speculated to bear the model number MHB-AN10 and has already been certified on Chinese websites such as MIIT and 3C. These listings indicate the device could be equipped with a huge 6,000mAh+ battery and have 66W fast charging capabilities.

Honor Magic V5 Rumored Display Specifications

According to rumors, the Honor Magic V5 can expect a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED outer screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The internal space would be occupied by an 8-inch foldable display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The dual-screen configuration will provide a seepless experience, supporting both productivity and entertainment.

Honor Magic V5 Camera and Performance Specifications

For cameras, the phone is rumored to pack a 50MP primary camera with OIS, complemented by an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 200MP periscope telephoto sensor. The phone may also come with the brawny Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for lag-free performance. Other features could be wireless charging, satellite message capability, IPX8 water resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Expected Competition in Foldable Market

The Honor Magic V5 launch can fuel competition in the foldable segment that already has participants such as Samsung, OnePlus, and Vivo. If Honor sets the price attractively, it can find favor with premium users wanting a light and powerful foldable smartphone.
