Honor 400 vs 400 Pro: Honor has launched its new mid-range flagships, Honor 400, and Honor 400 Pro, in some international markets. These phones feature strong processors, enormous 200MP camera arrays, AI photography capabilities, and all-day batteries. Although both phones seem identical at first, there are some major differences between them.
Display and Design
Honor 400 features a 6.55-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen, while the Honor 400 Pro features a slightly bigger 6.7-inch higher-resolution screen. Both have a 120Hz refresh rate, 460ppi pixel density, and 5,000-nits peak brightness. The Pro version also supports DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, enhancing visuals to appear more vivid. For durability, Honor 400 features IP65 protection, while the Pro version provides a more advanced IP68 + IP69 water and dust resistance.
Performance and Processor
Honor 400 has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor accompanied by Adreno 720 GPU. In contrast, the Honor 400 Pro gets fueled by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with Adreno 750 GPU. Both devices come with the same up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, though the Pro device will obviously manage multitasking, gaming, and heavy usage better.
Camera Features
The two models share a huge 200MP primary rear camera featuring a 1/1.4-inch sensor, f/1.9 aperture, and OIS. The Honor 400 includes a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with 30x digital zoom, while the Pro includes a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX856 telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Both phones employ a 50MP front camera for selfies.
Battery and Charging
Both Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro carry a 5,300mAh Silicon-Carbon battery. The vanilla model has support for 66W wired charging, while the Pro has support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Pro’s fast wired charging will fill up to 51 percent in a mere 15 minutes. Wireless charging fills up to 33 percent in the same interval. Honor promises both devices to have 80 percent battery health even after four years.
Price and Availability
The Honor 400 Pro starts at GBP 699 (approximately Rs. 80,000) for the 12GB + 512GB variant. It comes in Lunar Grey, Tidal Blue, and Midnight Black. Honor 400 begins at GBP 399 (approximately Rs. 48,000) for the 8GB + 256GB model and GBP 449 (approximately Rs. 51,000) for the 8GB + 512GB model. It is available in Desert Gold, Meteor Silver, and Midnight Black. Both devices are now available in some international markets and will be available in China on May 28.
Honor 400 Series AI Tools
The series emphasizes Honor’s move to integrating AI, and it is centered on innovative tools for video and photo editing. With the backup of Google, users are able to transform static images into dynamic videos, remove objects, and use improved portrait modes — making the devices more than simple camera phones.
