CMF Phone 2 Pro: The CMF Phone 2 Pro was officially unveiled to feature a triple camera setup, which is a major overhaul from the last generation. The phone is available to go on sale starting April 28th in India and across the world, along with new audio products. With new design language and enhanced insides, this is turning out to be the most spec’d out CMF offering to date.

Triple Camera Setup Brings Major Upgrade
CMF Phone 2 Pro teaser features a triple rear camera setup with a minimalist look. It features two cameras separately without frames and a third sensor placed alongside them in an oval-shaped housing, along with an LED flash. The two screws at the back panel are a copy of the design on the original CMF Phone 1, retaining some aesthetic continuity.
The camera specifications confirmed: segment-leading sensors
Specs-wise, the CMF Phone 2 Pro is supposedly officially sporting a 50MP 1/1.57-inch primary sensor, the largest sensor of its kind, as claimed. That’s complemented by a second 50MP 2x telephoto camera, a feature that’s not just new for CMF but touted as a first in this segment. The third one is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle. This is a clear step above the CMF Phone 1, which sported a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera system.
Improved Chipset with Better Performance
CMF Phone 2 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset. While the CMF Phone 1 only used the base Dimensity 7300 chipset, the Pro version brings up to 10% CPU boost and up to 5% boost in graphics. The other gaming-centric features include an uplift in 120fps BGMI gameplay, 1,000Hz touch sampling rate, and a 53% network performance boost ideal for budget gamers.
Expected Software and RAM Options
Leaked Geekbench listings indicate that the phone will be shipped with Android 15 out of the box, and at least one variant will have support for 8GB RAM. However, there could be multiple memory options available at launch. Although the price is still not known, fingers are crossed that CMF will not increase the price. For comparison, the CMF Phone 1 was priced at a mere Rs 15,999 at launch.
Final Impression: A Promising Budget Flagship
CMF Phone 2 Pro will be a flagship among the budget throng. The triple camera, powerful chipset, and gamer-specific additions are all indications that CMF wants to disrupt the mid-range ecosystem. If it’s priced right, it can emerge as one of the most compelling options for value buyers in 2025.
