The Buds 2 Plus TWS, CMF Buds 2a, and CMF Buds 2 earbuds were launched in India on Monday. Together with their matching casings, they are said to have a total battery life of over 61 hours and offer active noise cancellation (ANC) of up to 50dB. The new headsets feature dual-device connectivity and work with the Nothing X app. Their design language is identical to that of the CMF Buds Pro 2 headphones, which launched in the nation in July 2024.

While the CMF Buds 2 and CMF Buds 2 Plus cost Rs. 2,699 and Rs. 3,299, respectively, the CMF Buds 2a is priced at Rs. 2,199 in India. Flipkart will be the national outlet for their sale.

Dark Grey and Orange are the available colors for the CMF Buds 2a and Buds 2. The Buds 2 are available in a Light Green colorway, while the former is available in an extra Light Grey shade. Blue and light grey are the available color options for the CMF Buds 2 Plus.

Dirac-tuned 12.4mm Bio-Fibre drivers are included with the CMF Buds 2a. In contrast, the CMF Buds 2 involve N52 magnets and 11mm PMI drivers with Dirac Opteo tuning. In the meantime, 12mm LCP drivers with Hi-Res Wireless Audio certification and LDAC support are included with the CMF Buds 2 Plus. They use a “precise pure tone audiometry test” to provide a unique Personal Sound hearing profile.

Per the CMF, the entry-level Buds 2a come with a transparency mode and can handle up to 42dB ANC. The Plus version of the CMF Buds 2 has a Smart Adaptive Mode that allows for up to 50dB ANC, while the regular model supports up to 48dB hybrid ANC.

Ultra Bass Technology 2.0, Wind Noise Reduction 3.0, and call noise reduction capabilities are all included in the latest TWS headsets from the CMF Buds 2 series. While the vanilla and Plus versions have six HD mic units with Clear Voice Technology 3.0 apiece, the CMF Buds 2a have four HD mics with Clear Voice Technology support. Also, the Spatial Audio effect is supported by all three headsets.

The low-latency mode of the CMF Buds 2 series TWS earbuds lasts for up to 110 ms. They offer dual-device connectivity and work with the Nothing X app. The base and Plus versions of the CMF Buds are rated IP55 for dust and splash resistance, while the entry-level models are rated IP54.

A 460mAh battery is housed in the casings of all three TWS earphones.
