Free Scooty Scheme – Will You Get a Free Scooter, Here’s Check How to Apply

Free Scooty Scheme: If you are a student, this news could be exceptional for you. The Madhya Pradesh government is set to provide free scooters to students under the CM Scooty Scheme. This year, more than 7,500 students will receive scooters. However, specific conditions have been laid down for this scheme, as it is intended only for meritorious students. This means that students who have successfully passed their exams can avail themselves of the benefits of the CM Scooty Scheme. Under this scheme, the financial assistance required to purchase the scooter is transferred directly to the students’ bank accounts.

What are the conditions for the free Scooty scheme in MP?

The MP government has set certain conditions for the CM Scooty Scheme. It stipulates that the free scooter will be provided only to students who have passed Class 12 from government schools. Students are eligible if they have passed the Class 12 examination on their first attempt with a minimum of 70% marks. Additionally, students who secured the first position in their respective schools are eligible for this scheme.

What is the process to get a free scooter in MP?

Under the MP free scooter scheme, students do not need to apply or fill out any online forms. Beneficiaries are selected directly through a verification process at the school level. Once the MP Board Class 12 results are declared, all government school principals prepare a list of the top-performing students from their schools.

Subsequently, the school administration verifies all the documents of these students. The list is forwarded by the school—via the District Education Officer—to the MP Education Portal or the ‘Vimarsh’ Portal. After the government releases the final list, the funds are transferred directly to the students’ bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

How much money is received?

To facilitate the purchase of the scooter, the MP government transfers the funds into the accounts of the selected students via DBT. The government-provided amount ranges from ₹90,000 to ₹1.20 lakh. This arrangement allows students to choose between an e-scooter and a petrol scooter. A maximum of ₹120,000 can be transferred for an e-scooter, while ₹90,000 is provided for a petrol scooter. The funds are transferred directly to the student’s account; if the student does not have an account, the money is transferred to their parents’ account.

When will the funds be received?

According to reports, the money for the scooter scheme could be sent to the accounts of over 7,500 students by September 16. However, it is also reported that the funds will reach the students’ accounts by September 19. Additionally, the student cannot transfer or sell scooters purchased under the CM Scooter Scheme for a period of three years.
