EPFO Update: Big news for EPFO members. The member portal of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has been enhanced with new features to offer convenience to its members. Subscribers can now perform essential tasks such as PF withdrawal, UAN activation, and KYC updates without the need to visit offices or rely on employers.

Improvements have been made to the grievance redressal process on the updated portal, making services more user-friendly.

Online services available on the EPFO portal now include:

1. UAN activation: Members can generate and activate their UAN using Aadhaar-based face authentication on the UMANG app, requiring Aadhaar and a linked mobile number.

2. Online PF withdrawal: Advance withdrawals and final PF settlement claims can be filed online for purposes like illness, education, marriage, or home purchase, with an active UAN and complete KYC being mandatory.

 

3. E-Nomination Facility: Members can designate or modify family members as nominees for PF and pension benefits to ensure smooth claims in case of unforeseen events.

 

4. KYC and Bank Details Update: Easily link or update Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account details with your UAN.

 

5. PF Transfer Service: Easily transfer PF funds and service records online when switching jobs.

 

6. E-Passbook Download: View and download employer and employee contributions, interest, and transaction history.

 

7. Death Claims: Eligible nominees or family members can apply online for PF, Pension, and Insurance (EDLI) claims in case of a member’s demise.

To avoid interruptions in EPFO services, subscribers should remember the following:

 

– Ensure your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar for receiving OTPs.

 

– Update the exit date correctly on the portal after leaving a job to avoid rejection of final PF settlement claims.

 

– Ensure that the details in the UAN match the Aadhaar information precisely.
