Special Discounts for Employers
Under this campaign, several special exemptions are being provided to companies to correct past mistakes. If an employer has not deducted their PF contribution from an employee’s salary in previous years, the employee’s previous contribution will be waived under this scheme. This will reduce the unexpected financial burden on companies and encourage them to honestly register their employees.
The entire online process of enrollment
has been made completely digital and transparent, which has to be completed online:
- Face Authentication: Employers will have to generate Universal Account Number (UAN) for each employee by verifying their face using the UMANG app.
- Online Payment: The data of the left out employees and the PF amount will have to be submitted through the Electronic Challan-cum-Return (ECR) portal.
The Labour Ministry has appealed to all companies to check their old salary and employment records and avail this one-time opportunity to provide social security cover to their employees before October 31, 2026.
