EPFO 3.0 ATM Card: Preparations are in progress to provide substantial relief for millions of EPFO members. With the introduction of EPFO 3.0, numerous digital features are anticipated, including the ability to withdraw PF funds via UPI and ATMs, check balances on mobile devices, quicker claim settlements, and simplified KYC processes. If all goes as planned, nearly every essential PF-related task will become quicker, simpler, and less stressful than before. We will also keep you updated on when these new EPFO services will be available.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is gearing up to enhance its digital offerings for its vast member base. Under EPFO 3.0, new services are set to be launched that will enable members to withdraw funds from their PF accounts using UPI and ATMs in the near future. The aim is to streamline the withdrawal process, making it more efficient and transparent. This could greatly minimize the need for repeated applications and lengthy waiting times.

As per media reports, this new service could be rolled out soon, although an official launch date has yet to be confirmed. The government has already signaled that efforts are being made to bolster EPFO’s digital services. The system analysis is reportedly nearing completion. Once the service is operational, members will have the ability to check their PF balance through the UPI platform.

It’s important to note that the introduction of this new service will not alter the existing rules for PF withdrawals. Currently, PF withdrawals will still adhere to the same conditions as before. Members will be permitted to withdraw a portion of their PF as needed, following the established guidelines. The regulations for maintaining retirement savings will also remain unchanged. This indicates that while the method of withdrawal will evolve, there will be no significant alterations to eligibility and rules.

Reports suggest that the EPFO may also introduce a special ATM card for its members. This card will be directly linked to the member’s PF account, facilitating withdrawals from ATMs. To take advantage of the new digital services, members’ Universal Account Number (UAN) must be linked to Aadhaar. Along with this, accurate bank account information, an updated PAN card, and a registered mobile number will also be required. An OTP-based process may be adopted for identity confirmation. This will ensure security and ease of use of the services.

Beyond UPI and ATM withdrawals, EPFO 3.0 is adding several other services. The auto-claim settlement limit has been increased, allowing faster settlement of claims involving larger amounts. Furthermore, members will be able to use face authentication through the Umang app. Aadhaar-based OTPs will also make updating KYC and other information easier than before.

With the new system in place, many PF-related services will be readily available digitally. Members will no longer have to go through lengthy processes for even small needs. Many services, including withdrawals, balance checks, and claims, can be completed via mobile. This will save time and make the entire process much easier than before.

However, the EPFO has not yet released a specific date or complete guidelines for the launch of PF withdrawals via UPI and ATMs. Therefore, members should wait for an official announcement before using any new features. Full details regarding the process and eligibility will be shared by the EPFO.
