Netflix’ latest Releases: This week, Malayalam movie lovers will have a blast on OTT! Some great movies are coming for you, including dark comedies, thrillers and thrilling dramas. And you will get to watch all this on platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Sonyliv. So buckle up!
Malayalam movies releasing on OTT this week (April 28 to May 4, 2025):
Suraj Venjaramoodu’s psychological dark comedy film ‘ED’ (ie Extra Decent), after making a splash in theaters, is now on OTT. Released on December 20, 2024, the film received rave reviews for Sooraj’s stellar performance.
The film is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Manorama Max. ‘ED’ tackles serious topics like identity and thinking in a light-hearted and funny way.
Bromance OTT:
If you love light-hearted adventure and comedy films, then ‘Bromance’ is for you! The film is the story of a young man who embarks on a journey of self-discovery with the help of his brother’s friends, and the journey is full of fun twists and surprises.
Starring Mahima Nambiar, Mathew Thomas, Arjun Ashokan and Bharat Bopanna, the film was first released in theatres on February 14, 2025. It will now have its digital premiere on Thursday, May 1, on SonyLiv.
Maranmas and Hunt OTT:
While not yet released, the two big films are expected to hit the streaming platform by mid-May. Rajesh Madhavan, Suresh Krishna, Siju Sunny, and Anishma Anilkumar starrer ‘Maranmas’ will likely hit the OTT platform in mid-May.
Similarly, ‘Hunt’, a thrilling investigative thriller directed by Shaji Kailas and starring Bhavana and Ajmal Ameer, will soon hit the OTT platform. However, the filmmakers have not yet made any official statement regarding the film’s release on the OTT platform.
