Laapataa Ladies Steals the Spotlight from Stree 2 at the 70th Filmfare Awards

70th Filmfare Awards: The nomination list for the 70th Filmfare Awards has been released, and Jio Studios has been the most talked-about nominee this time. Five of Jio’s major films have set a record this year. In an Instagram post, Jio Studios announced that they have received the most nominations in Filmfare history, with 54. These films include Stree 2, Missing Ladies, Article 370, Teri Baatein Mein Aisa Ulza Jiya, and Shaitan.

Missing Ladies wins hands down – receives 24 nominations

Jio Studios’ film Missing Ladies, directed by Kiran Rao, has emerged as the frontrunner this time around, receiving nominations in 24 categories.

Critics Best Actress (Female) – Nitanshi Goyal and Pratibha Ranta

Best Supporting Actor (Male) – Ravi Kishan

Best Supporting Actress (Female) – Chhaya Kadam

Best Music Album – Ram Sampath

Best Lyrics – Prashant Pandey (Sajni Re) and Swanand Kirkire (Dheeme Dheeme)

Best Singer (Male) – Arijit Singh

Best Singer (Female) – Shreya Ghoshal

Nominations are also included in the Best Screenplay, Dialogue, Cinematography, Editing, Costumes, Sound Design, and Debut categories.
