Tamil Nadu Board Exams: A heart-wrenching story came out from Tamil Nadu, where a student’s mother died a few hours before the board exam. The child’s father had died 6 years ago. On the persuasion of family and relatives, the child went to give Tamil Nadu Board Exam. People’s eyes are filled with tears after knowing about the student. The incident is being told of Valliyoor in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu.

Mother was ill

According to media reports, the student’s name is Sunil Kumar. Sunil is giving 12th exams from Tamil Nadu Board. There was a Tamil subject exam on 3 March 2025. His mother Subalakshmi died a few hours before the examination started. Mother had heart disease. Sunil’s mother had struggled a lot to educate her son, relatives asked him to go for the exam.

Sunil Kumar had placed his uniform and hall ticket at the feet of the dead mother to get the blessings of his dead mother. After this, he started crying bitterly. Then the relatives took him to the examination hall after convincing him. They told him that his mother only wanted him to pass the board examination with good marks. After the death of his father, his mother raised him and sister Yasini.

CM Stalin praised

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin shared a tweet praising Sunil Kumar. He wrote – This is the Tamil community. Education is more important for us than life. The team of state Education Minister Anbil Mahesh had talked to student Sunil Kumar. According to media reports, Anbil Mahesh’s team said that he can understand the student’s pain as a brother. He asked Sunil Kumar to take the exams and also promised support.
