SSC Exam Date 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam dates for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar examinations. Candidates who have registered for the MTS and Havaldar exams can now check the exam dates on the official website at ssc.gov.in. A total of 7948 vacancies are to be filled through this recruitment exam, with 6810 posts reserved for MTS and 1138 posts for Havaldar.

When will the exam be held?
The Multi-Tasking Staff exam will be conducted on February 4, 2026, and the Havaldar exam will be held on February 23, 2026. The self-slot booking process for the MTS exam will begin on January 15, 2026.

Exam Pattern
Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written examination. The written examination will be conducted in two sessions. Session 1 will comprise 40 questions, each worth 120 marks, from Numerical Ability, Mathematics, and Reasoning. Session 2 will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions, each worth 150 marks, from General Awareness and English. Candidates who have applied for Havaldar posts must also appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Physical Standards Test (PST).

PET and PST Pattern
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be eligible to appear for the PET. Male candidates must complete a 1600-meter run within 15 minutes, and female candidates must complete a 1-kilometre run within 20 minutes. The PST will assess the candidates’ height and weight. The minimum height for male candidates is 157.5 centimetres, and for female candidates, it is 152 centimetres.
